Yes - this ability has been added to version 1.01 of Pocket Informant for iPhone. If you are still using version 1.00, please download the free update from the iTunes App Store.
Note that some shared calendars are marked as "read-only" which means that Pocket Informant will be able to sync information from Google and display it, but you cannot add new events to read-only calendars.
